Taormina, a clean and welcoming city
ASM Taormina is responsible for the environmental management of the municipal area, with a particular focus on waste separation and urban cleanliness and decorum.
It promotes proper waste management through a separate waste collection system. Residents are encouraged to properly separate materials (organic waste, paper and cardboard, plastic and metal, glass, and residual waste) according to the municipal calendar and to use the appropriate containers.
ASM also carries out daily street sweeping and washing, as well as extraordinary cleaning of public areas, with a particular focus on areas with high tourist traffic and sensitive areas.

New Domestic Users Calendar
To ensure proper waste separation, we summarize useful information below and publish waste disposal schedules for both domestic and non-domestic users.
- Household waste collection in the municipal area from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am;
- Household waste collection on the commercial axis between Porta Catania and Porta Messina (Piazza Duomo, Corso Umberto I, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Via Teatro Greco) from 1:30 am to 5:00 am.

To ensure proper recycling, we summarize useful information below and publish the waste collection schedules for both domestic and non-domestic users.
- Non-domestic waste collection within the municipal area is open from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM;
- Non-domestic waste disposal on the commercial axis between Porta Catania and Porta Messina (Piazza Sant’Antonio Abate, Piazza Duomo, Piazza Carmine, Corso Umberto I, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Via Timeo, Via Teatro Greco, Via Pirandello up to the cable car entrance, Via Apollo Arcageta, Via Di Giovanni, Via Calapitrulli, Via Giardinazzo, Via Costantino Patricio, Via Cappuccini, and Via Dietro Cappuccini up to number 10, Piazza San Pancrazio, Viale San Pancrazio from the Porta Messina arch up to numbers 46/B and 29) from 1:30 AM to 5:00 AM.

Bulky Waste Disposal:
“Cellar Emptying” Service and Pickup by Appointment
ASM Taormina has launched the “Cellar Emptying” project to facilitate the disposal of durable goods, bulky items, WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), and textile materials (used clothing). The dates for each area will be published monthly.
